The Mary Reid Scholarship for Piano was established by Fiona MacLachlan in memory of her mother, Mrs Mary Reid. She established, with a small group of enthusiasts, the Yass Music Club (1953), which continues today.
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
- Be commencing a Bachelor of Music (Advanced) (Classical Performance) or Bachelor of Music (Classical Performance) program of study and specialising in piano at the University of Adelaide
- Be enrolled on a full time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Academic merit
- Auditions, performance, or interviews relevant to the Elder Conservatorium
Important Information:
- There is no application process for this scholarship, it will be directly awarded
- You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible
- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
- Students receiving other University of Adelaide Scholarships are eligible for this Scholarship
