The Alex Burnard Scholarship was established by Olive Mary Burnard, in memory of her late husband, Dr David Alexander Burnard. Dr Burnard, who in 1932, was the third person admitted to the degree of Doctor of Music at the University of Adelaide.
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
- Be undertaking an Honours or Masters by coursework in composition
- Be an Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia, New Zealand Citizen or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
- Be enrolled on a full time basis
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Academic merit (GPA)
Important Information:
- There is no application process for this scholarship, it will be directly awarded
- You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible
- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
- Students receiving other University of Adelaide Scholarships may be eligible for this Scholarship
