The Bob Piper Law Scholarship has been established by national commercial law firm Piper Alderman to support one student undertaking the second year of the Bachelor of Laws program at the University of Adelaide.

One scholarship shall be awarded and will provide assistance with education and living costs for the second and third years of the Bachelor of Laws.

Applicants must be Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens, permanent residents of Australia or holders of a permanent humanitarian visa undertaking study as a Commonwealth Supported student in the program for which the scholarship was approved.

Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to academic merit, financial need and answers to questions on the application form. Academic merit for current students will be determined according to students' cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) or equivalent scores.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate financial need and be able to provide supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, e.g. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.

The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered: acceptance of the Scholarship cannot be deferred. If a student declines the Scholarship offer, the Scholarship will be offered to the next eligible student.

Students in receipt of other University of Adelaide Scholarships may apply for this Scholarship.
