The Sir Hugh Cairns Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Sir Hugh Cairns to support students from Adelaide High School undertaking study at the University of Adelaide.

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

• Have completed Year 12 at Adelaide High School
• Be commencing the Bachelor of Medical Studies
• Be an Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
• Be enrolled on a full time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place

Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:

• Academic merit (ATAR)

Important Information:

• There is no application process for this scholarship, it will be directly awarded to a commencing student 
• You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible
• The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
