The McConnochie Scholarships have been established to commemorate the memory of Robert Alexander Murray McConnochie.
Up to three scholarships will be available to undergraduate students who have successfully completed the work of the first three years of the program leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Adelaide.
Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia undertaking study as a Commonwealth supported student and must remain enrolled on a full time basis
The McConnochie Scholarships will provide assistance with education and living costs to the amount of $10,000 per year for three students for the fourth, fifth and sixth, or fifth and sixth years of each student’s program, subject to the maintenance of a satisfactory academic performance in each semester of enrolment for up to three years.
Selection for this scholarship will be made according to financial need.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate financial need by providing supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, eg details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.
