The Ian Cocks Memorial Trust Engineering Scholarship has been established by the Ian Cocks Memorial Trust in memory of the late Ian Campbell Cocks, a noted South Australian who made a significant contribution to tourism, the wine industry and commerce.

One scholarship shall be awarded annually to a student who is undertaking the second year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)(Civil) program of study at the University of Adelaide.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens or permanent residents of Australia undertaking study as a Commonwealth supported student and must remain enrolled on a full time basis in the program for which the scholarship was approved.

Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to academic merit. Academic merit for continuing students will be determined according to the students' cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) or equivalent scores.

The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered; acceptance of the Scholarship offer cannot be deferred. If a student declines the Scholarship offer, the Scholarship will be offered to the next eligible student.
