The D.G. Hill Scholarship has been established by Jennie Hill, in memory of her father Donald (Don) Gordon Hill who graduated in Civil Engineering from the University of Adelaide in 1958.
One scholarship is available to a commencing student undertaking any Bachelor of Engineering single, combined or double degree programs at the University of Adelaide. This scholarship will provide assistance with education and living costs for a maximum duration of four years.
Applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents of Australia or holders of a permanent humanitarian visa undertaking study as a Commonwealth supported student and must remain enrolled on a full time basis in the approved program for which the scholarship was approved.
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to academic merit and financial need. Academic merit for commencing student will be determine according to ATAR or equivalent scores.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate financial need and be able to provide supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, e.g. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.
The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered; acceptance of the Scholarship offer cannot be deferred. If a student declines the Scholarship offer, the Scholarship will be offered to the next eligible student.
Students in receipt of other University of Adelaide Scholarships may apply for this Scholarship.
