Ms Natasha Stott Despoja AM is providing a scholarship to support a financially disadvantaged, full-time, female student of academic merit who would not otherwise be able to attend the University.

The scholarship will be awarded each year to a first year female student commencing any Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Arts (Advanced) program, including double degrees, at the University of Adelaide.

The scholarship will provide payment of the tuition fees for the first year of this program.

Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia undertaking study as a Commonwealth supported student and must remain enrolled on a full time basis in the approved program for which the Scholarship was approved.

Selection for this scholarship will be made according to academic merit and financial need. Academic merit for commencing students will be determined according to ATAR or equivalent scores.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate financial need and be able to provide supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, e.g. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.

The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered: acceptance of the Scholarship cannot be deferred. If a student declines the Scholarship offer, the Scholarship will be offered to the next eligible student.

Students in receipt of other University of Adelaide Scholarships may apply for this Scholarship.
