This scholarship has been established by Professor Ashok Khurana in the memory of his mother to promote excellence in Classical Music Performance.
This scholarship will support one final year student who is undertaking the Bachelor of Music (Performance) program of study in the Classical Music area at the University of Adelaide.
The scholarship is available for one year.
This scholarship is open to Australian and New Zealand citizens and permanent residents of Australia.
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to financial need and academic merit, the student's plan on how they propose to use the scholarship funds and excellence in performance based on a 20 minute performance as judged by representatives of The Elder Conservatorium. Academic merit will be assessed based on candidates' academic performance in their second year of the Bachelor of Music program.
The Scholarship recipient will be required to attend the Scholarship Recognition Ceremony, and present a performance for the donors, their friends and family at the University on a mutually convenient date and time.
