The JE Jenkins Scholarship was established by the late John Evan Jenkins to support two students undertaking an undergraduate program in Agriculture, Social Sciences or Sociology at the University of Adelaide.

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship you must: 

  • Be a commencing or continuing student enrolled in an Agriculture, Social Sciences or Sociology program
  • Be an Australian Citizen
  • Be enrolled on a full time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place
  • Be residents at one of the residential colleges affiliated with the University of Adelaide (Aquinas College, Lincoln College, St. Ann's College, St. Mark's College, Kathleen Lumley College or Roseworthy Residential College) or in other University affiliated accommodation (The Village, Mattanya Housing, The University of Adelaide floor at Urbanest or University subsidised accommodation).

Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to: 

  • Academic merit (GPA or ATAR)
  • Preference will be given to students who have served in the Commonwealth armed forces
  • Preference will be given to students who have relocated from outside of metropolitan Adelaide.

Important Information: 

  • You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible to apply 
  • The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
  • Students receiving other University of Adelaide Scholarships may apply for this Scholarship.
