The Varley Scholarship was established by a gift from John Varley to support undergraduate students studying viola, violin, violoncello or double bass at the Elder Conservatorium of Music.
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
- Be an undergraduate student studying viola, violin, violoncello or double bass
- Be an Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia, New Zealand Citizen or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
- Be enrolled on a full time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Musical talent and promise
- Preference will be given to a student of the viola at the Elder Conservatorium of Music
Important Information:
- There is no application process for this scholarship, it will be directly awarded
- You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible
- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
- Students receiving other University of Adelaide Scholarships may be eligible for this Scholarship
