The Essays in Advocacy Travel Assistance Scholarship was established by the University of Adelaide Press to support students who will be undertaking a study tour or exchange within their studies. Proceeds from the sales of ‘Essays in Advocacy’ will help fund the scholarship.

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship you must:

  • Be undertaking second, third or Honours year of the Bachelor of Laws program (including associated double or combined degrees)
  • Be an Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
  • Be enrolled on a full time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place
  • Be undertaking either a national or international study tour and /or exchange (with priority given to study tours)
  • Provide approval of the study tour or exchange

Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:

  • Academic merit (GPA)
  • Answers to questions on the application form

Important Information:

  • You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible to apply
  • Up to $500 will be available for a student travelling within Australia
  • Up to $1000 will be available for a student travelling outside Australia
  • Should the recipient of a Scholarship not proceed with the study tour and/or exchange travel as planned, then the scholarship amount must be repaid to the University in full within 3 months after the date of the planned travel 
  • The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
  • Students receiving other University of Adelaide Scholarships may apply for this Scholarship
