The Eric Smith Scholarship was established in memory of Lieutenant Eric Wilkes Smith to support a student undertaking study at the University of Adelaide.

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

• Be commencing the Bachelor of Economics with the highest overall ATAR
• Be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident of Australia
• Be enrolled on a full time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place

Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:

• Academic merit (ATAR)

Important Information:

• There is no application process for this scholarship, it will be directly awarded to a commencing student with the highest overall ATAR
• If there are two or more students of equal merit, the scholarship will be divided equally amongst them
• You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible
• The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
