The Dean of Law's Fund has been established to support students who are undertaking a Bachelor of Laws program at the University of Adelaide and who are experiencing financial difficulties which impact their studies and demonstrate short term financial need in either education or living expenses.

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship you must:

  • Be undertaking a Bachelor of Laws
  • Be an Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia, New Zealand Citizen or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
  • Be enrolled on a full time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place
  • Demonstrate you are in financial need*
  • Apply for amounts up to $500 for textbooks, stationery, transport and other essential items

* Applicants must demonstrate financial need and provide supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, e.g. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.

Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:

  • Financial need
  • Answers to questions on the application form

Important Information:

  • You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible to apply
  • Items considered may be textbooks, stationary, transport and other essential items
  • The amount awarded will be at the discretion of the selection panel
  • The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
  • Students receiving other University of Adelaide Scholarships may apply for this Scholarship
