The Reg Sprigg Aboriginal Education Assistance Grant has been established by a gift from Dr. Reg Sprigg to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students undertaking an undergraduate or postgraduate program of study at the University of Adelaide.
Wirltu Yarlu Aboriginal Education invites applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who are currently enrolled in and attending study at the University.
All full time and part time Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students are eligible to apply.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Demonstrated financial need.
2. It is desirable that the applicant has successfully completed at least one year of study.
3. Demonstrated satisfactory academic progress.
4. The payment is required to support the continuation of their study or graduation from a program. Support may be given for the following reasons:
• Conference attendance specifically related to the program of study
• Travel and/or accommodation to attend a compulsory placement
• Printing and binding of a thesis
• Research related costs
• Assistance with additional expenses related to study including the purchase of textbooks and equipment, scholarship support and teaching assistance
