The University will offer Adelaide Undergraduate Scholarships in 2020 to all South Australian students who have demonstrated outstanding academic merit by obtaining an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of 99.95 (with no adjustment factors included). These Scholarships will provide an allowance of $12,000 to assist with education/living costs for the first year of a student's undergraduate program at the University of Adelaide.

Scholarships will be offered to all students who:

  • are Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of Australia
  • qualify for their year 12 certificate (South Australian Certificate of Education, International Baccalaureate or Steiner curriculum) at a South Australian School in 2018 or 2019
  • have applied through SATAC for admission to a Commonwealth Supported Place in an undergraduate Bachelor's degree program at the University of Adelaide in 2020 and are eligible to receive an offer of a place in that program
  • are commencing post secondary studies for the first time in 2020
  • obtain an ATAR of 99.95, exclusive of all adjustment factors

No formal application is necessary; the University will contact all eligible students.

The award of this Scholarship is subject to the student's admission to an undergraduate Bachelors program and confirmation of full time enrolment at each of the census dates (31 March and 31 August). Scholarships must be taken up in the year that they are offered.

The scholarship will be payable in two equal instalments of $6,000 per semester subject to recipients being enrolled on a full time basis at each of the census dates and maintaining satisfactory academic progress in their studies. Students must obtain a Grade Point Average of at least 5.0 at the end of each semester, or be deemed to be making satisfactory progress by their Faculty in order to receive each scholarship payment.

Students will be eligible to hold both an Adelaide Undergraduate Scholarship and University of Adelaide Principals' Scholarship.
