The University of Adelaide offers a number of scholarships annually to students commencing undergraduate programs who have not commenced a post-secondary program of study previously (university or VET).

To be eligible for the Adelaide Access Scholarships, applicants must:

  • Gain admission to an undergraduate Bachelor's level course of study as a Commonwealth Supported student at the University of Adelaide commencing in 2024; and
  • Enrol on a full time or part time basis; and
  • Have not previously been enrolled in post-secondary study (university or VET); and
  • Be Australian citizens, Australian Permanent residents, New Zealand citizens, or holders of a permanent humanitarian visa; and
  • Demonstrate financial need*

*Applicants must be able to demonstrate financial need and be able to provide supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, e.g. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payments, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits or other details of their financial circumstances.

*Evidence of Tertiary Access Payment (TAP) application or approval does not demonstrate financial need.

Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to: 

  • Academic merit (ATAR)
  • Financial need
  • Answers to questions on the application form

  • The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
