The Royal Society of South Australia is a membership-based learned society, dedicated to the promotion and advancement of science, with a particular interest in the Natural Sciences.
In 2022, the RSSA will be awarding small grants for research work in the following fields: ecology, botany, zoology, geology, geomorphology, palaeontology, geophysics, anthropology, biophysics, soil science, environmental science, environmental remediation, and archaeology.
The aim of the scheme is to promote high quality natural history research that is unlikely to be funded through larger nationally competitive schemes. The Society specifically wishes to support research by those unable to acquire funding from major grant agencies, such as postgraduate students, Early Career researchers and those outside of Universities.
Each applicant may apply for funding up to $2,500 (excl. GST). The grants program is competitive and the number of grants awarded and the amount will depend on the quality of the applications and the budgets requested.
Refer to the RSSA website for further information, including eligibility criteria and how to apply: https://www.rssa.org.au/awards-and-grants/
Applications close 30 June 2022. Outcomes expected early August 2022.
