The Robert Francis Thyer Award is funded by a bequest from Mrs Flora Agnes Thyer who established the supplementary research scholarship in memory of her late husband. The Scholarship will support a full time PhD student who is commencing research in the area of Geology or Geophysics in the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology at the University of Adelaide.
Eligibility: Applicants must be Australian Citizens or permanent residents of Australia who are acceptable as candidates for a PhD Research degree at The University of Adelaide.
Stipend: The scholarship will be for 3.5 years (no extension) and has a stipend of $6,000 per annum. It is likely to be tax exempt, subject to Taxation Office approval. Details of any terms and/or benefits can be found in the Rules.
