Applicants must fulfil these conditions to be eligible to apply for the scholarships.
- The applicant must be admitted into full time post-graduate study.
- The applicant must not be more than a third of the way through their PhD.
- The applicant must submit at least two referee reports on the GRDC template, including from the proposed principal supervisor. If your referee would prefer to submit their report directly to GRDC, please email tenders@grdc.com.au for further instructions.
- The applicant must be awarded a Research Training Programs (RTP) scholarship or equivalent. International students must be awarded a university tuition fee waiver and living allowance.
Applicants must show proof of scholarship. If outcome of RTP applicant or equivalent is unknown at the time of your application, success in receiving a GRDC will be dependent on the student confirming they have been awarded an RTP or equivalent prior to contracting.
Only those students who are successful in gaining a base scholarship will be considered eligible for GRDC funding support. The GRDC will provide successful applicants with a tax free top-up.
Prior to submitting your application to GRDC, you are required to contact the Adelaide Graduate Research School (tel 8313 5882) regarding certification and endorsement by the administering institution. The Adelaide Graduate Research School has an internal deadline of 23 September 2021 to provide applicants with endorsement letters. Please contact the Adelaide Graduate Research School by emailing research.scholarships@adelaide.edu.au before 23 September 2021 to request a letter of endorsement to accompany your application. Applications without a letter of endorsement will not be accepted by GDRC. Failure to do this may deem your application ineligible for consideration.
Application details and further information is available via the GRDC's Website.
