The Frank Perry Research Travel Scholarship in Engineering supports Higher Degree by Research students in engineering to undertake interstate or overseas travel in order to present at a peer-reviewed conference.

Eligibility:

To hold the award, applicants must:

• be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, Permanent Humanitarian visa holder, or international student;
• be enrolled in the second year of a Master of Philosophy (full-time or part-time equivalent) or enrolled in the second or third year of a Doctor of Philosophy (full-time or part-time equivalent), in the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology in the area of engineering; and
• have successfully completed relevant candidature milestones.

Students must be presenting at a peer-reviewed conference, preferably presenting a full paper. If a short paper or poster is proposed, the student must provide proof of significance of the conference.

Value and Tenure:

The award will be a once-off grant of a value determined by the selection committee, based on the application provided. Grants are made on the condition that they are used solely for the purpose stated in the application.
