These ARC grant funded PhD scholarships are funded by ARC Linkage Grant to support a full-time PhD student who is undertaking research in electrochemistry or high-temperature area, under a specific research topic of “Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cells with Novel Perovskite-based Cathode.” There are two scholarships available under this project.
University of Adelaide
The University of Adelaide is one of the most prestigious institutions of higher learning in Australia and is also a member of Australia's " Group of 8" Universities. The University of Adelaide has 5 Nobel Prize winners in its history and has trained 110 Rhodes Scholars.
Energy and Catalytic Materials Center, In-Situ Analysis and Testing Center
Under the leadership of Professor Shizhang Qiao, the University of Adelaide established the Center for Materials in Energy and Catalysis (CMEC) in 2018. The center uses a combination of experiments, advanced characterization and theoretical calculations to develop efficient, economical and industrially promising materials for energy and catalysis. In addition, under the leadership of Professor Shizhang Qiao, the University of Adelaide will establish an in-situ analysis and testing center in 2020.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia/international students who are acceptable as candidates for a PhD degree at the University of Adelaide.
Stipend:
The scholarships will be for 3.5 years and has a stipend of $32,500 per annum.
It is likely to be tax exempt, subject to Taxation Office approval.
