The Adelaide Graduate Research School (AGRS) and 2XE are partnering to create an internship opportunity for University of Adelaide PhD students, to contribute to the organisation's sustainable energy projects.

About 2XE

2XE is an award-winning South Australian consultancy committed to guiding companies towards sustainable growth and achieving net-zero emissions. Leveraging a robust blend of engineering, economics, environmental, and communication expertise, 2XE offers bespoke strategies that integrate technical solutions and actionable sustainability insights. 2XE’s methodology prioritizes a synergistic approach, aligning environmental goals with corporate profitability and responsible stewardship, ensuring that clients attain substantial and sustained benefits.

Internship Description

At 2XE, we look for you, a motivated and talented individual eager to gain experience in the sustainability industry in a defined timeframe. This internship allows you to sharpen your skillset and build a track record in a real-world environment. We see internships as a catalyst for innovation within the organisation. As such, you'll be involved in both operational and exploratory tasks.

Your internship will be a personal experience, but typically a 2XE internship is centred on advancing data analysis and developing tools for deploying transformative technologies within the renewable and smart energy sectors. This role is heavily sustainability focused and often involves evaluating energy saving opportunities and enhancing strategies and tools aimed at achieving net-zero emissions.

You will participate in various aspects of our work, with a particular focus on sustainable energy solutions and integrating data-driven decision-making tools into business operations. This position is designed for individuals who are deeply committed to environmental stewardship and eager to apply their specialized skills in AI, data analysis, software development, and electrical or energy engineering to make a significant and tangible impact.

Expected outputs encompass comprehensive contributions to tools and methodology development, reports that drive client sustainability initiatives, and contributions to project presentations and potential (co)authorship of thought leadership articles in the field, see our Linkedin profile for reference.

We cannot wait to hear from you!

Students may consider discussing their internship plans with their Principal Supervisor in anticipation of that.
