In 2020, Cornelia Elisabeth Van Hattum bequeathed money to the University's Florey Medical Research Foundation for the purpose of assisting with and funding cystic fibrosis research. Part of this funding was allocated to support PhD and Mas of Philosophy students undertaking postgraduate research in the area of stem cell research.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia/international students who are acceptable as candidates for a PhD/MPhil degree at the University of Adelaide. Applicants must be commencing or ready to commence a higher degree by research at the University of Adelaide.
Stipend:
The scholarship will be for up to a maximum of 3.5 years for PhD students and up to a maximum of 2 years for Master of Philosophy students, and has a stipend of $10,000 per annum.
It is likely to be tax exempt, subject to Taxation Office approval.
