Rotary, the University of Adelaide, and SAHMRI are partnering to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students prevent and reduce the burden of chronic disease in Aboriginal communities through best-practice research.

SAHMRI’s Wardliparingga Aboriginal Health Equity division, based in the SAHMRI building North Terrace is available to support the student with mentoring, placements, supervision and guidance.

 

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Scholarships, applicants must:

  • be of Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander heritage (by provision of a formal ‘Confirmation of Aboriginality or Torres Strait Island Heritage’);
  • be domestic students of the University of Adelaide enrolled full time as a PhD or M Phil candidate undertaking research into preventing and reducing the burden of chronic disease in Aboriginal communities;
  • be the recipient of a Research Training Program Scholarship – Indigenous (RTPS) or University of Adelaide Research Scholarship; and
  • not currently be the recipient of a supplementary scholarship.
