In 1954, Eleanor Kate Barker bequeathed money to the University for the purpose of establishing a scholarship to support a full-time PhD or MPhil student undertaking research in medicine.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia or international students who are acceptable as candidates for a PhD MPhil degree at the University of Adelaide and are currently enrolled in a higher degree by research in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, in the field of medicine.
Stipend:
The scholarship will be for 1 year and has a stipend of $12,000 per annum.
It is likely to be tax exempt, subject to Taxation Office approval.
