In 1960, Bertha Helga Sudholz bequeathed funds to the University of Adelaide for the purpose of establishing a scholarship for postgraduate research students studying diseases of the ear, nose and throat.

The supplementary scholarship will be awarded based on academic merit, research potential and relevance of research in the Domestic Major Round.

 

Eligibility: To be eligible to hold the scholarship, a candidate must be:

  • an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident;
  • commencing a full-time Doctor of Philosophy program of study in the Faculty of Health & Medical Sciences at the University of Adelaide in the year for which the award is being offered, and be undertaking research in diseases of the ear, nose and throat; and
  • in receipt of a major scholarship.
