Graduates of the University of Adelaide, who are Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents or NZ Citizens and are enrolled within the University as a full time higher degree research candidate in medicine, law, commerce, economics or architecture, and are in receipt of a major scholarship, are eligible to apply.

Applicants who provide evidence that they are a lineal descendant of an Australian soldier or sailor who died or was blinded or was totally and permanently incapacitated as a result of his service in World War I will be given preference.

One Scholarship of $10,000 per annum shall be awarded annually, or such other sum as the Graduate Scholarships Committee may from time to time determine, subject to the available income from the Endowment Fund.  The duration of the Scholarship is up to a maximum of 3.5 years.  No extensions will be allowed

In addition, applicants who are a lineal descendant of an Australian soldier or sailor who died or was blinded or was totally and permanently incapacitated as a result of his service in World War I must provide evidence to the Adelaide Graduate Research School by the scholarship round closing date.  Please email this evidence to research.scholarships@adelaide.edu.au, including your submitted application number and “Baillieu Supplementary Scholarship” in the header.
