The Forrest George and Sandra Lynne Young Supplementary Scholarship was established through a generous gift by Sandra Young, made in memory of her late husband Forrest George Young. 

The Scholarship is intended to supplement the major scholarship held by the recipient and will provide a stipend valued at $5,000 per annum for up to 3.5 years.

 

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

  • Be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or New Zealand Citizen, and must remain enrolled on a full time basis in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree at the University of Adelaide.
  • Have been awarded a major scholarship in a competitive scholarship round.
  • Be undertaking research in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Chemistry or Health Sciences.  

 

Selection: The scholarship will be awarded, based on academic merit, research potential and relevance of research, to an applicant in the field of Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Chemistry or Health Sciences who is not in receipt of a supplementary scholarship of equal or greater value.
