The Ian Wilson Liberal Research Supplementary Scholarship is available to postgraduate research students who are currently undertaking an HDR program at the University of Adelaide, and are already in receipt of a major award.

The scholarship is open to applicants undertaking research which will lead to sound analysis and conclusions for reform capable of practical application and advocacy in Australia, in the fields of:

  • social policy, including policy relating to:
      - social security and welfare payments and income support schemes;
      - taxation; and
      - superannuation and other forms of retirement income provision;
  • education and health as they affect individual and family well being;
  • jurisprudence, constitutional law and Commonwealth-State relations;
  • environment;
  • heritage;
  • the arts; and
  • indigenous affairs.

The number of scholarships available each year, their value and tenure will be at the discretion of the Selection Committee.
