This award is designed to help postgraduate research students in Geography fund associated travel or research project costs.

Award Details:

  • Value: The award is valued at $750.
  • Purpose: To support future travel or research project costs related to Geography.

Eligibility:
To apply, candidates must:

  • Be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, Permanent Humanitarian visa holder, or international student; and
  • Be enrolled in a full-time Higher Degree by Research (PhD or MPhil) program at the University of Adelaide in 2025, and undertaking research in the field of Geography.

Selection Process:
Applications will be evaluated via a competitive process by the Adelaide Graduate Research School, based on:

  • Academic merit
  • Research potential
  • Relevance to the field of Geography

Note: No award will be made if no candidate appropriately satisfies these criteria.

Administration:

  • The award is administered by the Adelaide Graduate Research School.
  • Payment will be made as a one-off lump sum directly to the successful candidate after enrolment is verified.
  • The award must be accepted and taken up within the year it is offered; deferral is not permitted. If the award is declined, it may be offered to the next ranked candidate.
