The University of Adelaide funds two postgraduate research scholarships each year to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who are commencing, or currently undertaking a full time PhD and Master by Research program at the University of Adelaide.
Eligibility: Applicants must be Indigenous Australians who are acceptable as candidates for higher degree by research at the University of Adelaide. Applicants must have completed at least four years of tertiary education studies at a high level of achievement and hold as a minimum a Second Class Honours degree (or equivalent). Students who are currently enrolled in higher degree by research and have not held a scholarship previously may also be considered.
Stipend: The scholarship provides a living allowance for up to 3 years and has a stipend of $34,092 (2020 rate) per annum (indexed annually) tax free. Details of the terms and conditions and all benefits can be found in the Conditions of Award:
