Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (German Academic Exchange Service) carries out the planning and administration of research scholarship schemes, fellowship programs, the assignment of German teaching staff to higher education institutions abroad and institutional projects for numerous Federal Ministries.

German institutions offer a wide range of scholarships for outstanding students from around the world. Whether you’re an undergraduate or a PhD-candidate already working at university, or whether you’re studying architecture or gender studies and everything in between, there is a scholarship for you. These programs range from short-term exchanges for research or teaching purposes to doctoral scholarships lasting several years.
