The Schulz Postgraduate Scholarship for the Study of Education was established from a bequest from Adolf John Schulz for the purpose of promoting postgraduate research work in the theory of education. This scholarship will support two students undertaking a postgraduate coursework or postgraduate research program at the University of Adelaide.
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship you must:
- Be undertaking a postgraduate coursework or postgraduate research program in the School of Education and whose research project is relevant to the theoretical study of education from varying perspectives at the University of Adelaide
- Be an Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia, New Zealand Citizen or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
- Be enrolled on a full time or part time basis
- Demonstrate you are in financial need*
* Applicants must demonstrate financial need and provide supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, e.g. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Academic merit (GPA)
- Financial need
- Answers to questions on the application form
- Relevance of the research relating to the theoretical study of education from its varying perspectives as part of a comprehensive philosophy

- You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible to apply
- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
- Students receiving other University of Adelaide Scholarships may apply for this Scholarship
