The Doris West Postgraduate Scholarship for Women has been established from a bequest to the University from Doris West.

Doris West graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Arts from the University of Adelaide in 1921. She was particularly concerned and involved with the interest of women graduates, both nationally and internationally.

One scholarship will be awarded to a postgraduate coursework student who is and/or identifies as female. The scholarship is valued at the equivalent of the Research Training Program Scholarship (RTPS) per year for two years.

Applicants must be and/or identify as female, be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia undertaking a Masters by Coursework program of study and must remain enrolled on a full time basis in the approved program for which the Scholarship was approved.

Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to academic merit. Academic merit will be determined according to students’ cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) for the preceding years or according to academic records from tertiary or post-secondary level study.

No other scholarships may be held in conjunction with this scholarship.
