The John Ridley Memorial Scholarship was established by Public Trustee, as Trustee for the John Ridley Memorial Trust, which was established in 1913 to perpetuate the memory of John Ridley who invented "The Stripper" - the world's first mechanical grain harvester.
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship you must:
- Be undertaking an Honours degree in the area of Agriculture or Animal Science at the University of Adelaide's Roseworthy Campus. The recipient must have successfully completed either the Bachelor of Agricultural Sciences or Bachelor of Science (Animal Science).
- Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident of Australia, New Zealand Citizen or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
- Be enrolled on a full time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Academic merit (GPA)
- Answers to questions on the application form
Important Information:
- You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible to apply
- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
- Students receiving other University of Adelaide Scholarships may not apply for this Scholarship
