The Diana Medlin Re-entry Scholarship has been established to provide an opportunity for a student who has obtained an undergraduate degree to enter a research career having interrupted their academic development (e.g. to fulfil family obligations, due to a medical condition or to enable the completion of professional training such as internships or other practical requirements for professional registration in particular disciplines).

One Scholarship shall be awarded to support a student commencing an Honours or a Coursework Masters program at the University of Adelaide.

Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia undertaking study as a Commonwealth supported student or be eligible for a FEE-HELP loan and must remain enrolled on a full time basis in the program for which the scholarship was approved.

Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to academic merit. Academic merit for continuing students will be determined according to students' cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) or equivalent scores.

The scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered; acceptance of the scholarship offer cannot be deferred. If a student declines the scholarship offer, the scholarship will be offered to the next eligible student.

Students in receipt of other University of Adelaide Scholarships may not apply for this Scholarship.
