The ARC Training Centre for Environmental and Agricultural Solutions to Antimicrobial Resistance (CEAStAR) is a collaborative research and industry training program that brings together universities and industry partners to develop innovative solutions to mitigate the adverse impacts of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
This PhD Research Scholarship (Development of novel antifungals) is funded by CEAStAR to support a full-time PhD student to undertake research in antifungal drug development. This project will build a collaboration with Neoculi Pty Ltd to identify new antifungal leads and develop existing leads as antifungal drugs through established pathways for laboratory-based efficacy testing, characterisation of modes of action and testing of efficacy in relevant in vivo models.
Based at the University of Adelaide, the student will work with a multidisciplinary team and participate in a unique opportunity to undertake an industry placement.
